Last night me and scribblefish were talking about the dates for Fantasia. And we decided in the best interest for the group that Fantasia will be postponed until further notice. This will give you all plenty of time to work on your costumes now.

Reason we're postponing it is because for both dates for the suggested change is hard a group of people at this point, so rather than duking it out in trying to get a date, we're just gonna postpone it like the civil adults we can actually be.

Right now, we're aiming to post pone this to the summer, and of course it won't conflict with any major cons like AnimeNEXT and Otakon which I know like all of you are pretty much going to. We'll only do this in the summer if Scribble can get that summer internship since this is first and foremost her shoot, so she cannot miss it. If we miss the summer opportunity, we'll probably have it in the fall when Scribble is back here on the East Coast.

Location will still be in NYC, so no need to worry about that. We might switch from the BBG to another park (we're looking at The Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park) since it's free, and we don't need to worry about a permit. More details on that will be coming in the future.

Hey guys! It was so awesome meeting some of you at the Capitols shoot this past weekend! I was Russia, in case ya'll didn't know that was me~!

Anyways, a few announcements! 


1) sppandaaa  and heavensealed have both kindly volunteered to be my other two officers. So the three of us will be plotting planning this together; talk to any of us if you have questions/concerns.

2) The official date for now is Saturday, April 17th since most people said that date would work the best. The back up date will be the following weekend, April 24th. Mini shoots can continue Sunday but that'll be up to each individual's plans [i.e. we're not planning them, you are].

3) The official location is The Botanic Gardens in NYC because of it's proximity to everyone/places to stay, public transit and restaurants. We're looking into the rules for photoshoots there currently, and if we need a a permit to do one, we'll need a back up park with easy travel from the city or Jersey City. Suggestions are totally welcome!

4) PLEASE REPLY TO THE PREVIOUS POST! This is very important! We need to know who is still dedicated to this shoot! If you know who hasn't replied, tell them they have to, or talk to them and do it for them. Also, I need everyone's AIM address if I don't already have it.

5) Remember that the costume designs are begging for artistic license; don't be afraid to use pretty patterned cloth or add that extra detail. It can only benefit your outfit! Take a look at this artist's interpretation of the Fantasia Costumes:

Many people were saying April sounded like a good month to do it. I know that some people, myself included, will be at Anime Boston the first weekend of April. Besides that, what weekend works best for everyone else?

16th-18th
23rd-25th

Time:
I thought this would be an all day thing, but I know that it'll take time for everyone to get to the location, where ever it ends up being. So perhaps 11am-6pm?

Location:
We have two proposed locations--
Rockefeller State Park
[Pros: Wilderness feel, campfire/picnic if we so wish, lots of pretty lakes, ect. Cons: Not in a city aka harder to get to, harder to get public transportation, ect.]
and
NYC's Botanical Gardens
[Pros: In the city, lots of our cosplayers live near The City, lots of restaurants, public transportation, gardens are pretty, ect. Cons: In the city, possibility of skyscrapers in background?, more people to interrupt shoots, ect]

I've never been to either place, so I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on the matter.

What general time frame would work the best for you for the meet up?

So, um, hello there. This is the gal that originally signed up for England, checking in.

Steadily, I've been collecting materials and clothing, and I'm happy to say I'm pretty far along. Like, um... Oh I dunno, 60-75% finished. Of course Iggy's costume colors are a little hard to come across, so I've had to settle with a darker green. Hopefully it'll be fine.

The cape is a check. Although I am looking for one with a hood - shouldn't be too hard to find. The wig is gonna be the toughest part :/ but wish me luck. Also tell me now if anyone else is cosplaying as England, 'cause then I can stop putting this together before I'm finished xD

Oh! And I wonder if we've all got it done by then, would anyone like to group together and attend AnimeBoston as the Fantasia characters? For at least one day, not all three of course... It's expensive as all cons are, but if anyone was planning to go anyway I thought it'd be fun xD Sorry if it was mentioned already I'm not that observant.

I live in Connecticut, so I nominate my state for the gathering. It's right in-between Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York state so it's perfect for distances~

Hiyas! So as I've told nyachyan, money pending, (I was laid off from jobbie last month D:!!), I will DEFINITELY take part in this....just as long as it's driveable! Too poor for plane! lol! But so far so good! NYC is ideal, I have friends in Central NJ and I drive up to see them once every 1-2 months so yeah NYC is like an hour Transit ride, lol. Transit + Russia costume...LOLZ! :B!

Anyways..I have loads of fabric in bins in my sewing room and if I can use any of it for Russia I would laavh that....so what I wanted to know is there any "official" color scheme? Should I base it offa the CD cover, i.e. THIS? Please comment and let me know! :D!!

Also if there's any changes to the location/month we're doing this/etc PLEASE PM me on LJ...I will forget about this @ somepoint I'm sure...please bother the crap outta me. 6^^;;;! lol!!

Hey guys! We have quite a turn out for our Hetalia:Fantasia meet up already! The only character we're missing from the main Axis and Allied powers is Germany, and we have a large group of other characters joining. This is getting pretty exciting, huh? 

Anyways, this post will be the main progress and suggestion box for the creation of America's bonus weapon that-works-better-as-a-blunt-object-then-as-a-gun. I'll continue to update as the creation process continues
